How to Use Course Creator Studio

A short, practical tour of Course Creator Studio: build a course, make it yours, share it with learners, and keep your work safe.

Getting started

  1. 1
    First, unzip the download

Your course arrives as a ZIP file. On Windows, right-click it and choose Extract All. On a Mac, double-click it. Then open the new folder and open this Start Here page from there.

Important: the course won’t open from inside the ZIP. If the button below doesn’t work, you probably haven’t unzipped it yet.

  2. 2
    Open the course

Once it’s unzipped, click the button. The course opens in your web browser — there is no account, login or app to install.

    Open the course

Or open the file 02-how-to-use-course-creator-studio.html next to this page.

  3. 3
    Keep the two files together

Leave this page and the course file in the same folder, and don’t rename them. To come back later, open the same course file again.

  4. 4
Back up your progress now and then

Inside the course, Back up progress saves a small file with your progress, notes and bookmarks. Use Restore progress to bring them back on another browser or computer.

Works offline. The course opens without an internet connection.

How to use the course

Computer, phone or tablet?

Best on a computer (Windows or Mac) using Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.

iPhone and iPad: save the ZIP to the Files app, tap it to unzip, then tap the course file. Some versions open it as a preview, which may not keep your progress or let you use every feature. If that happens, use a computer.

Android: unzip it with the Files app, then open the course file with Chrome. Results can vary by device.
